A mesmerizing story-teller who just happens to be the best artist in his field, Joe Castillo brings an unforgettable, one-of-a-kind live performance to every possible venue on earth. Combining a message with on-the-spot creativity, Joe Castillo will challenge, amaze and surprise an audience. Joe Castillo is the world’s premier Sand Animation “SandStory” performer living in the United States of America, unique live “ArtStory” presenter and gifted “WordStory” speaker and storyteller.

A native of Mexico City, Joe Castillo grew up surrounded by art and the cosmopolitan culture of an international city.

In his teenage years he developed a passion for artwork that told stories. Moving to Florida, he attended Ringling School of Art, and graduated from Florida Bible College. Starting his career as a by founding The Advertising Library, an agency in Knoxville, Tennessee (US). After 20 years in advertising, he returned to school in the United States of America (USA) and received a M.A. in Biblical Studies and M. Div. from Asbury Theological Seminary. He pastored a church for five years before taking his artwork full time.

As an accomplished speaker Joe has communicated “WordStory” messages with enthusiasm and motivation to hundreds of audiences over 30 years of speaking. His artwork has been sold worldwide and touched the lives of thousands of people whose stories have been compiled in a book entitled “The Face of Christ”.

He has also created a series of live “ArtStory” presentations that use intricately crafted illustrations, drawn before audiences to teach life lessons. His latest art adventure is the amazing ‘live art’ presentation using Sand Animation he calls “SandStory.” Drawing in sand art on a light table, he is able to create powerful, fluid illustrations for large audiences with an overhead video camera projected on a large screen.

Corate message using the visual arts as a way of touching the heart. He as inspired millions of people through his Sand Animation and introduced many to this new art form, including Kseniya Simonova. She went on to be the chosen winner of “Ukraine’s Got Talent in 2009” and has become an internet phenomenon as millions of people watched her Amazing Sand Drawing on Youtube and Google.

Joe Castillo was the one chosen to perform “The Rediscovery of Wonder!“ to close the TEDActive 2011 conference. Joe performed twice at TEDGlobal 2011 in Edinburgh, Scotland. Joe’s Sand Animation will be featured in the upcoming PBS documentary “Turning the Tide”. Joe Castillo will co-author with Ken Blanchard and Deepak Chopra the upcoming book Roadmap to Success.

Awards include American Entertainment Readers Choice Award, Finalist Event Solutions Entertainer of the Year – Solo, Finalist, Finalist Event Solutions Rising Star Male and Finalist 2011 Unique Art Awards.
