Joe Castillo is the world’s premier Sand Animation “SandStory” performer living in the United States of America, unique live “ArtStory” presenter and gifted “WordStory” speaker and storyteller.
Born in Mexico City, the artistic hub of Latin America, Joe Castillo grew up in a bi-lingual home,surrounded by art and the cosmopolitan culture of this international city. He developed a passion fortelling stories using artwork early in life. After attending Ringling School of Art, FBC and ATS graduating with an MA, and MDiv. he founded The Advertising Library, a full service agency andworked in advertising for almost 20 years.
His love for stories moved him in to the realm of motivational performing artist and storyteller where he developed “SandStory,” “ArtStory,” and “WordStory,” presentations in both English and Spanish. His art has been sold worldwide and his presentations have been seen by hundreds ofthousands of people, inspiring, motivating and leaving them with a sense of awe. He has performed for Kings, Presidents, Dignitaries and CEO’s in more than fourteen countries around the world. Joe Castillo is certainly the top SandStory artist in the world today.
Joe Castillo is an artist, author and national storyteller with a passion for promoting a corporate message using the visual arts as a way of touching the heart. He as inspired millions of people through his Sand Animation and introduced many to this new art form, including Kseniya Simonova. She went on to be the chosen winner of “Ukraine’s Got Talent in 2009” and has become an internet phenomenon as millions of people watched her Amazing Sand Drawing on Youtube and Google.
Joe Castillo was the one chosen to perform “The Rediscovery of Wonder!“ to close the TEDActive 2011 conference. Joe performed twice at TEDGlobal 2011 in Edinburgh, Scotland. Joe’s Sand Animation was featured in the PBS documentary “Turning the Tide”. Joe Castillo auditioned for America’s Got Talent season 7.
