The metal corner is a silver frame which the black stone or Al-hajar al-aswad is encased in & is located on the eastern corner of the kaba. It dates back to the time of Adam & Eve & according to our Islamic faith the black stone was used by Adam & Eve to build the 1st temple for Allah swt. But the black stone was broken into pieces sometime during 638 930. Initially the stone was shiny white & pure but became blackened due to all the sins it absorbed over the years.

The first set of bands are my favorites… in my opinion all of their songs are equally good– i will try to be as specific as possible- more than likely if you myspace them you will find their hook songs. At the end are a few individual song recommendations. Many of these bands are a mix of piano/ electronic and just anything tasteful. I really have a thing for happy/ modern music.

-Metric- (album Old world underground, where are you now is great especially song Combat Baby and Dead Disco)

-Mum –(the icelandic band mum not the american band)
Mums best album is finally we are noone– every song on this album is a 10 you probably wont find it on their official myspace…. look for songs -Green grass of tunnel— and —We have a map of the piano—-If you like icelandic music/mum then you will also like Sigur Ros… they are newly popular… but the new music is not as good as their older album Ageatis Bjyrn , the entire album is incredible, my favorite song is Viorar Vel Til Loftarasa

-Mew- This band will make you want to fly and is in my top 5
hook songs– snow brigade, special, apocalypso, envoy to the open fields

-Mgmt- funky, modern disco type ??? songs- the youth- weekend wars

-M83- electronic musician, this is another one that will make you wish you were hang gliding– my favorite song is Dont save us from the flames—- the albums can be repetitive but this one song is worth it. on m83 myspace the song -we own the sky

-Thee More Shallows- album book of bad breaks-WOW!

-Enon- electronic, very happy, strange ( i like the old stuff)

-Slowdive- shoegaze from the 90's , myspace
    favorite song- souvlaki space station

-Tycho- electronic, this is the coolest music ever-myspace it

    These are individual song recommendations

    -Voxtrot- the start of something
    -Joshua Radin- star mile
    -Cary Brothers- ride
    -Snow Patrol-chocolate
-Owl city- designer skyline (if you like deathcab or postal service then this song is for you)
-Bright eyes- take it easy love nothing, and gold mine gutted
-Abstrackt Keal Agram- Riviere- —french electronic music— not so easy to find but worth it— youtube has a version
-Love is chemicals- —- I really like their song titled Meet me on the tarmac- to find this song search in Myspace music for an artist called Scared American- it is a fan site that happens to have the song
-Royskopp- remind me- song from the caveman geiko commercials- lyrics—everywhere i go, theres always something to remind me of another place and time….
