Financial trouble is usually no laughing matter – especially in today’s economy. Comedian Jeff Allen knows this all too well as he has had struggles of his own. As serious as the matter is, Jeff Allen is now able to laugh at his failures and is hoping to help others do the same.
Jeff Allen is a comedian and humorous speaker who has worked with celebrities such as Jerry Seinfeld and the Smothers Brothers. He was the featured performer at the 2005 presidential inauguration, has performed twice at the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington D.C. and has also been seen on HBO, VH1, Comedy Central and Showtime.
Through laughter and the grace of God, Jeff Allen overcame obstacles such as addictions, being on the brink of divorce and financial hardship. It is now his desire to help others going through some of these same experiences, especially financial instability. He does just that during Jeff Allen: Living. Loving. Laughing.
Though Jeff Allen knows that times are tough and that it can be hard to live a life of generosity when one worries about providing for their own family, he emphasizes the importance of having a generous heart. By using comedy and through sharing his testimony, Jeff Allen encourages people to give freely without expecting anything in return.
Jeff Allen: Living. Loving. Laughing is part of the Gestures of Generosity Tour, which works with churches to build a better world by encouraging one another and sharing wisdom about money. In doing so, those in the church and believers in Christ will lead more generous lives and draw closer to the heart of God. Jeff delivers his message with the comedy he is well known for. Not only will financial wisdom touch the minds of those who attend, but hearts will be touched as well after hearing how Christ helped him through his darkest days.
During the event, attendees will also have the opportunity to make a difference in a child’s life by giving to World Vision and will also be challenged to become more educated regarding keeping budgets and avoiding debt. God calls believers to have generous hearts and those who attend will be inspired to take action and live a life of generosity.
