Christmas to me means time together with the family — which usually involves all of us trying to make each other laugh. Sometimes we get each other laughing so hard we have to stop or risk needing medical attention. So Christmas is a balancing act of laughing hard vs. emergency health care costs. But it’s always worth the risk.
I’m always amazed by the Christmas story where Almighty God becomes a vulnerable baby. The first giant step in the salvation of the human race begins in diapers with onlooking barn animals. I can’t get a grip on the love it took for God to do that, but I’m going to keep trying
