Dr. Chap Clark and Dr. Duffy Robbins answer the question, “What’s your biggest mistake when training leaders?”
Chap Clark (Ph.D., University of Denver) is Vice Provost and professor of Youth, Family, and Culture at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA, and President of Foothill Community Ministries, Inc., the parent organization for the ParenTeen and HURT Seminars. His responsibilities at Fuller include chair of department and Director of Doctor of Ministry and Ph.D. programs in Youth, Family, and Culture. He is also the executive director of the Young Life partnership Student Leadership Project as well as the Institute of Youth Ministry. Chap is the Senior Editor of YouthWorker Journal, and has been a leader in organizations such as Young Life and Youth Specialties for more than 25 years.
Duffy Robbins, Chairman of the Department of Youth Ministry at Eastern College, St. Davids, Pennsylvania, is a twenty-two year veteran of youth ministry, having gained extensive experience as a youth minister in both para-church and local parish positions. As an associate Staff member of Youth Specialties, Duffy works throughout the year in training events for youth workers, appearing each spring in about fifteen cities coast to coast as part of the National Youth worker Resource Seminar and at the National Youth workers Conventions each fall.
