Angela Thomas is a best-selling author, gifted teacher and story-teller who transparently shares life experiences that draw her and others into a deeper passion for knowing her God. She ‘s been honored to walk with women of all ages and walks of life. Thomas graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Angela then served as part-time youth director in her small Methodist church where she discovered her true calling as a speaker and minister to women. She received her master’s degree at Dallas Theological Seminary and pursued a life of ministry which quickly turned into writing and speaking. Angela Thomas is also an ordinary woman.
Angela was living a seemingly perfect life as minister, wife and mother when her marriage ended. She walked through divorce proceedings under the covering of her church’s elders and with the endless love and help of her friends and family. Through the challenges that accompany single motherhood, Thomas learned how to draw on her inner strength and become closer in her relationship with God. Out of this time, Thomas’ book MY SINGLE MOM LIFE: Stories & Practical Lessons for Your Journey was born in which she provides lessons learned from raising children without close spousal support and guidance to single moms feeling helpless. Thomas has written 11 books including the best-selling DO YOU THINK I’M BEAUTIFUL or women and reaches over 70,000 each year through her speaking. Additionally, Angela has written and filmed four curriculum projects with LifeWay Christian Resources.
2008 brought great joy to Angela and her children as she married Scott Pharr. She lives in Greensboro, NC., with her family and enjoys reading, staying active and traveling. Her marriage and children are her main priorities. She dedicates much of her time to watching their various sports and activities.
