Jim Labriola’s career began in New York’s famous Catch a Rising Star Comedy Club. From there he went on the road to become a favorite in comedy clubs all across America. Jim became good friends with Tim Allen after opening for him at The Governor’s Comedy Club in Long Island in 1989. This relationship gave Jim the opportunity to be a recurring regular on the TV show Home Improvement.

The club’s owner slipped Michael onstage…and a week later Michael was performing at the “Just for Laughs” comedy festival in Montreal, where he became the first comedian to ever appear live via satellite on “The Tonight Show.”
